On September 6, 2000 Sheldon becomes the third player in MLB history to play all 9 positions in a single game, joining Bert Campaneris (Kansas City Athletics, September 8, 1965), Cesar Tovar (Minnesota Twins, September 22, 1968) and Shane Halter (Detroit Tigers, October 1, 2000), in the select list of nine-position players in the same game. No National League player has ever done it. Sheldon started in the 4th inning and amazingly performs the feat in just 5 frames.
