Scott Ross


 
 

Scott Stonebreaker Ross (born March 1, 1951 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; died June 14, 1989 in Assas, France) was a harpsichordist known for his devotion to exactness in interpretation and performing on a vintage harpsichord.

His most important recording is Complete Keyboard Works (L'oeuvre pour clavier) by Domenico Scarlatti, which was released on 34 CDs by the Erato label. This is the only available recording of all 555 sonatas for harpsichord by Scarlatti.
