Scott Ian


 

Scott Ian (stage name of Scott Ian Rosenfeld, born December 31, 1963) is the rhythm guitarist for the metal band Anthrax and a former guitarist for the crossover band Stormtroopers of Death. Also known as "Peanut Head", Scott is one of the most influential guitar players to come out of the 1980s. He also hosted The Rock Show on VH1. He has also appeared on VH1's I love the 70's/80's/90's.

Scott Ian Rosenfeld was born in 1963 to a Jewish family in Queens, New York City. On hearing KISS, he quickly absorbed the culture of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal rock movement and in the 80's formed Anthrax. He was the only original member of Anthrax still in the band. This year they have got back together to release and anthology album and Dvd. Also they are reuniting for a tour.
