Saving Silverman

Saving Silverman is a 2001 comedy film, directed by Dennis Dugan.

Plot

Darren Silverman has been friends with Wayne and J.D. since high school, the three of them having formed a Neil Diamond cover band called Diamonds in the Rough. This changes when Darren meets and falls for Judith, a domineering psychologist. She forces Darren to abandon his old friends and spend more time with her.

Upon learning that Darren and Judith are engaged, Wayne and J.D. in desperation decide to prevent their wedding happening by any means possible. They kidnap Judith, and try to reunite Darren with his first love from high school, Sandy, who is about to become a nun.
