Sarcoma inducing gene
src: The transforming (sarcoma inducing) gene of Rous sarcoma virus. The protein product is pp60vsrc, a cytoplasmic protein with tyrosine-specific protein kinase activity, that associates with the cytoplasmic face of the plasma membrane.
