Santa Rosa, Guyana

The community began receiving electricity in 2004 when a diesel-powered generator was donated by Mr. Monty Niathally, proprieter of Variety Woods and Greenheart Limited. http://www.gina.gov.gy/archive/daily/b040207.html

Santa Rosa contains the second of the region's two secondary schools, Santa Rosa Secondary School, established in 1992. (The first, North West Secondary School in Mabaruma, was set up in 1965.)
