The church Sant'Andrea della Valle in Rome was designed and build by Pier Paolo Olivieri, Francesco Grimaldi, and Carlo Maderno between 1590 in 1650.

Cardinal Alessandro Peretti di Montalto, nephew of Sixtus V funded the works. The close Palace Valle gave the name to the church. The Baroque facade was added between 1655 and 1663 by Carlo Rainaldi, at the expense of Cardinal Francesco Peretti di Montalto, nephew of Alessandro.
