Sands of Iwo Jima
Sands of Iwo Jima is a 1949 war film which tells the story of the United States Marine Corps Battle of Iwo Jima during World War II. It stars John Wayne, John Agar, Adele Mara and Forrest Tucker. Rene Gagnon, who was one of the six marines who raised the flag over Mount Suribachi, appears briefly in the film.
