Sandra Gidley
Sandra Julia Gidley (born 26 March 1957 as Sandra Julia Rawson) is a British politician and the current Member of Parliament for the Romsey constituency. She is a Liberal Democrat MP and was elected to her seat in a by-election on May 4, 2000 after the death of the incumbent Conservative MP Michael Colvin. She was re-elected in the 2001 general election and again in 2005. She is the Liberal Democrat Shadow Minister for Women and Spokesperson for Older People.

Prior to her election she had been a Borough Councillor between 1995 and 2003, and in 1997 became the youngest ever female Mayor of Romsey. She is also a qualified pharmacist.
