Sandersville is a city located in Washington County, Georgia. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 6,144. The city is the county seat of Washington County{{GR|6}}. Sandersville is the birthplace of Buffalo Bills Pro Bowl linebacker Takeo Spikes, as well as Nation of Islam leader Elijah Muhammad.
