Samson or Shimshon (שִׁמְשׁוֹן "Of the sun" (perhaps proclaiming he was radiant and mighty) or " Serves ", Standard Hebrew Šimšon, Tiberian Hebrew Šimš?n) is the third to last of the Judges of Israel mentioned in the Tanakh. He is described in the Hebrew Bible in chapters 13 to 16 of the Book of Judges http://www.mechon-mamre.org/p/pt/pt0713.htm.
