Samanid


 
 

The S?m?nid dynasty (819-999) was a Iranian dynasty in Central Asia, named after its founder Saman Khoda. They revived Iranian traditions and language after the Islamic conquest of Iran. Their capitals were Bukhara, Samarqand and Herat. In 999 their realm was conquered by the Karakhanids.
