Salomon Jadassohn
Salomon Jadassohn (1831–1902) was a composer and pedagogue of Jewish and German origin. Jadassohn was born in Breslau and died in Leipzig, and in the 1840s was a pupil of Franz Liszt and of Moritz Hauptmann. In 1871 he became a teacher at the Leipzig Conservatory.

Jadassohn's compositions include four symphonies, organ music http://www.muziekhandel-boeijenga.nl/eboeijenga-bladmuziek.htm, at least three piano quintets (http://composers-classical-music.com/j/JadassohnSalomon.htm), at least four piano trios and other chamber works, and writings on theory. His pupils included Sigfrid Karg-Elert, Ferruccio Busoni, Frederick Delius and Felix Weingartner.
