Salisbury, Maryland
Salisbury is a city in, and the county seat of, Wicomico County, Maryland{{GR|6}}. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 23,743. Largely because U.S. Highway 50 and U.S. Highway 13 go through the city it is the commercial hub of the Delmarva Peninsula and is sometimes called "the Crossroads of Delmarva." Salisbury University is located there, as is the Normandy Arena.
Geography
Salisbury is located at 38°21'57" North, 75°35'36" West (38.365806, -75.593361){{GR|1}}.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 29.6 km² (11.4 mi²). 28.7 km² (11.1 mi²) of it is land and 0.9 km² (0.4 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 3.15% water.
