Salim Khan

Salim Khan is an Indian actor and scriptwriter who wrote numerous screenplays for Bollywood movies in the 1970s.

Career

Salim appeared as an actor in several films:

• Teesri Manzil (1966)
• Sarhaadi Lootera (1966)
• Diwana (1967)

While acting in Sarhaadi Lootera he met Javed Akhtar. Salim and Javid formed a scriptwriting team, known as Salim-Javed. Their first big success was the script for Seeta aur Geeta (1972). Zanjeer (1973), Deewaar (1975), Sholay (1975), Trishul (1978) They split up in the early 1980s. Neither scriptwriter has had much success since the breakup.
