Saginaw is a city located in Saginaw County, Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 61,799 (Census Bureau estimate for July 2004 is 59,045 residents). It is the county seat of Saginaw County6.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 47.1 km² (18.2 mi²). 45.2 km² (17.4 mi²) of it is land and 1.9 km² (0.7 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 3.96% water.
