Sabatier Effect

The Sabatier Effect refers to the results that arise when exposing a partially developed photographic plate to light, then continuing its development to completion. This can sometimes cause a reversal of tones, rendering the whole or part of the negative image as a positive. The results can be unpredictable and difficult to repeat.
