Ryan Junell
Ryan Junell is a Bay Area-based independent filmmaker.

Born September 16, 1973 in Frankfurt, Germany, Junell was raised in San Angelo, Texas. Junell attended the University of Texas, Austin, graduating with a focus on media and Asian studies. Moving to San Francisco soon afterwards, Junell worked with internet design firms during the boom of the web in the late twentieth century. Soon after he ran the Webzine festivals, coordinating indepdent media producers to exchange knowledge and information.

Junell has done videos for Creative Commons, Electronic Arts, Spoon, Gravy Train, the Indie Game Jam, and the Killing My Lobster comedy group. Junell was a part of the electronic music trio Sagan, developing videos for their live performances. He attended the 2004 Republican National Convention, making a four-camera video record of the event (framed similar to TimeCode (movie)), which he then showed across the United States before the 2004 election.
