Russian Far East


 

Russian Far East (Russian: ???????? ??????? ???????; English transliteration: Dalny Vostok Rossii) is an informal term that refers to the Russian part of the Far East, i.e., extreme south-east parts of Russia, between Siberian Federal District and the Pacific Ocean.

The Russian Far East basically corresponds to the territories of Amur Oblast, Chukotka, Jewish Autonomous Oblast, Kamchatka Oblast, Koryakia, Khabarovsk Krai, Magadan Oblast, Primorsky Krai, Sakha (Yakutia) Republic, and Sakhalin Oblast. Major cities in the Russian Far East include Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Nikolayevsk, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, and Komsomolsk-on-Amur.
