Rupa Huq
Rupa Huq is a British Labour politician, DJ and University lecturer. She graduated from Cambridge University and formerly a lecturer for the University of Manchester for several years and is now a senior lecturer at Kingston university. She has been a researcher for Tony Banks and Patricia Hewitt and in 2004, she stood for parliamentary candidate for Labour in the European Parliament http://www.manchesteronline.co.uk/news/s/61/61202_spin_doctor_rupa_aims_to_be_no_1.html.

In the 2005 British General Election, she stood as Labour candidate for Chesham and Amersham and received 6,610 votes, however she lost to the Conservative candidate, Cheryl Gillan.
