Ruby Laffoon
Ruby Laffoon (15th January, 1869 - 01 March 1941) was a Democratic Governor of Kentucky from 1931 - 1935. In the election he beat William Harrison and won with 54.3% of the vote. Laffoon was born, died and buried in Madisonville, Hopkins County, Kentucky.

During his term as Governor, he created a state sales tax, set a record for the number of pardons and commisioned a record number of Kentucky Colonels; notably Colonel Sanders (KFC).
