Royal School of Mines
The Royal School of Mines in London was formed in 1863 after previously being known as Government School of Mines and Science Applied to the Arts which had been established in 1851. In 1907, RSM was merged with Imperial College but RSM remains a Constituent College. The current Dean of the Royal School of Mines is Professor John Monhemius. RSM has mining courses and teaches mining related subjects at postgraduate level as formal courses and research.
