Roxanne (song)
"Roxanne" is a hit song by the art rock band The Police, first released in 1978. Sting, who was the lead singer of The Police before his solo career, wrote the song about a prostitute he saw after a performance. The title of the song comes from the name of a female character in Cyrano de Bergerac by Edmond Rostand.
