Rosie Gaines
Rosie Gaines is the powerhouse singer and keyboardist featured in the original incarnation of Prince's band the New Power Generation. She made her first appearances in the movie Graffiti Bridge and the supporting tour. Gaines was prominently featured on the album Diamonds and Pearls but differences with Prince over a proposed solo project caused her to leave his fold after the tour for the album was complete. As a result, her vocals were removed from his next album, Love Symbol. She has since made peace with Prince and contributed vocals to various projects including Chaos and Disorder, Emancipation, and the "New Master" of "1999". She has also joined Prince on stage on several occations.
