Rory Kennedy

Rory Elizabeth Katherine Kennedy (born December 12, 1968) is the youngest of the eleven children of Robert F. Kennedy and Ethel Skakel Kennedy. She was born six months after her father's assassination.

She married Mark Bailey on August 2, 1999. They have two daughters: Georgia Elizabeth Kennedy-Bailey, born in September 2002 and Bridget Kennedy-Bailey born in July 2004.

She is an award-winning documentary film-maker and producer. She has formed production companies with fellow alumae of Brown University. The first company she founded with Vanessa Vadim in the 1990's called MayDay Media based in Washington, D. C. Kennedy Bailey and Liz Garbus later formed a company called Moxie Firecracker Films, Inc. Kennedy Bailey also advocates for several social activism organizations.

John F. Kennedy, Jr., his wife Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, and his wife's sister Lauren Bessette died in a plane crash en route to Rory Kennedy's 1999 wedding, which was originally scheduled for July 17, the day after the crash. The wedding was postponed, and a considerably scaled-down ceremony was held two weeks later, on August 2.
