Romanian-American
A Romanian-American is a citizen of the United States who has significant Romanian heritage. According to the 2000 US Census 367,310 Americans indicated as their first ancestry Romanian. These include those of mixed ancestry. Many of them do not speak Romanian, having immigrated to the United States more than 50 years ago. Concentrations of Romanian-Americans occur in New York, New York; Los Angeles;Chicago, Illinois and Detroit, Michigan.
