Rod Serling

Later Years
Years of stress and smoking caught up with the writer in his final years. Serling died in 1975 due to complications from heart bypass surgery and is interred in the cemetery in Interlaken, New York, part of upstate New York, which featured so prominently in episodes of The Twilight Zone. By the same ironic token, cigarettes are featured in many episodes.
