Robert Wuhl


 

Robert Wuhl (born October 9, 1951) is a comedian turned actor/ writer. After high school in Union, NJ, Robert headed to the University of Houston, where he was active in the drama department (with artist and director Julian Schnabel as his roommate). After several years of stand-up comedy he had small film and TV roles in movies like Hollywood Knights, Good Morning Vietnam, Batman, and Bull Durham. In 1992 he appeared in The Bodyguard as host of the Oscars, which in reality he won two Emmys for co-writing in 1990 & 1991 with Billy Crystal. From 1996-2002 he wrote and starred in the Emmy-winning HBO series Arli$$ as the title character.
