Controversies
Kelker-Kelly was embroiled in scandal when he abruptly left the role of AW's Sam in 1990. Rumors flew, ranging from drug use to fisticuffs to sexually harassing his co-star, Sandra Ferguson, who portrayed Amanda. (In 1992, he vehemently denied all the rumors in an interview with Soap Opera Digest.)

In 1995, he was at the center of another controversy. While at Days of Our Lives, he started dating a much younger co-star, Miriam Parrish. He started to court Parrish as soon as she turned 18, and garnered media attention due to the thirteen-year age difference. They married in 1997. The couple have settled in New England, and aside from sporadic acting appearances, Kelker-Kelly has retired from the Hollywood circuit, and is pursuing his pilot's license. He works as an airframe mechanic.
