Rab Douglas arrived at the Walkers Stadium in June 2005 after five successful years under Martin O'Neill at Celtic.

The 33-year-old goalkeeper reportedly took a pay cut to join Leicester which prompted manager Craig Levein to say: "It shows his ambition. He proved himself north of the border and now wants to do the same here."

Douglas, capped 18 times by Scotland, made 162 appearances after a £1m move to Celtic from Dundee.

"Leicester is a club that can go back to the Premiership," he said on his arrival at Leicester, adding: "Now is the right time for a fresh challenge."

His farewell game for the Hoops was the Scottish FA Cup Final in which Celtic beat Dundee United 1-0. Douglas also helped them win the Scottish league title on three occasions.

He played 134 times for Dundee (1997-2000) which prompted his big money move to Celtic.

Douglas, who was given his international debut in April 2002 when he started against Nigeria at Pittodrie, made his first appearance for Leicester on their pre-season tour of Norway. Soon after, he featured against former club Celtic in a friendly at the Walkers Stadium.

After signing a three-year-deal with Leicester, Douglas said: "I spoke to the Hearts boys when I was on duty with Scotland and they told me Craig was a great coach and a good man manager. After speaking to him, there was never any doubt I was going to sign."
