Ripuarian

Ripuarian, Rhinish, or Middle Franconian is a western Germanic dialect group in Rhineland, eastern Belgium and southern Dutch Limburg from northwest of D?sseldorf and Cologne to Aachen in the west, and Siegen in the east. Most famous is K?lsch, the dialect of Cologne. These dialects most often call themselves Platt like ?cher Platt (of Aachen) or Eischwiele Platt (of Eschweiler) or B?nsch Platt (of Bonn). Ripurian forms a common dialect family together with the Moselle Franconian in Luxembourg and Rhineland-Palatinate.
