Rip Her to Shreds
"Rip Her to Shreds" is track number 9 from Blondie's self titled début album Blondie. It was also the first single to be released on Chrysalis Records in 1977, although it did not chart in the U.K. The B-sides to this single were "In the Flesh" and "X-Offender".

In Australia, the song "In the Flesh" was played by mistake on the nationally broadcast music program Countdown, and was well received by the viewing audience. Chrysalis Records released the song as a single in Australia only, and it quickly reached number 4 on the Australian singles chart. Australia therefore became the first territory in which the group achieved a hit single, and the album sold well. Blondie did not achieve a world-wide hit until almost a year later, when the single "Denis" reached number 2 on the British singles chart.
