Controversy
In September 2005 Gervais caused controversy by recording a radio advert for a prostate cancer charity which was only allowed to be broadcast from 9pm to 6am because of its content. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/4298076.stm However, on the 3rd of October 2005, the Radio Advertising Clearance Centre made a u-turn and announced that the advert could be broadcast before 9pm, but stipulated that a "squish" noise should be removed. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/4305944.stm
