Rick Allen (SPEED Channel commentator)
Rick Allen (born as Rick Allen Schweiger on June 17, 1969 in Grand Island, Nebraska) is SPEED Channel's lap-by-lap announcer for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Allen joined the network in 2003 to take his position, having never done television broadcasting before. Allen's previous announcing jobs involved being a P.A. announcer for Nebraska's Eagle Raceway, and a P.A. announcer for the University of Nebraska's football and men's basketball teams. Allen also graduated from the University of Nebraska, where he was a three-time All-American decathlon competitor.
