Richie Furay


 

Richie Furay is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist who is best known for forming the 1960s band Buffalo Springfield with Stephen Stills, Neil Young, Bruce Palmer, and Dewey Martin. In the late 60s he formed the band Poco, with Jim Messina and Rusty Young. He later converted to Christianity and formed the Christian group The Richie Furay Band with Jay Truax, John Mehler, and Tom Stipe.

As of 2004, Richie Furay is the pastor of a non-denominational church in Colorado, though he continues to perform as a solo artist, with Souther Hillman Furay, and with Poco.
