Richardson Dilworth
Richardson Dilworth (1898-1974), was an American Democratic Party politician, who served as the 116th Mayor of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from January 2, 1956 until his resignation on February 12, 1962 to run for Governor, but was defeated by William Scranton.

With his wife Ann, he was a passenger on the SS Andrea Doria, an ocean liner that collided with the Stockholm near Nantucket, Massachusetts on July 25, 1956 and subsequently sank.
