Resurrection Blues
Resurrection Blues is one of Arthur Miller's final plays. He was not known for his humor, but this play uses a playfully humorous edge to soften his jibe against blind beliefs. The story is set in an unnamed Latin American country that is painfully third world. The plot revolves around a man who is thought to be the Son of God. He is said to perform miracles, and because of this the leader of the nation has sentenced him to be crucified. This causes many playful moral dilemmas surrounding the cast of characters: a wealthy land-owner, the news team that arrives to cover the crucifixion and many others.
