Representation of the People Act 1928

The Representation of the People Act 1928 expanded on the act of the same name of a decade earlier. It widened suffrage by setting women on equal footing with men. Prior to this act women over 30 who met minimum property qualifications could vote, however men who were eligible to vote could do so from age 21.
