Regina Hall (December 12, 1970, in Washington, DC is an American actress. She can be seen as Lena in Spike Lee?s Love & Basketball, starring Alfried Woodward, Omar Epps and Sanaa Lathan. Hall, as Lena, portrays the girlie side of her basketball sister.

Hall began her acting career in New York City with recurring role on Loving, which is a soap opera. She has also appeared on Fox? NY Undercover and the independent films: Too Tired to Die, starring Mira Sorvino and Tears of a Clown, starring Mekhi Phifer.

She gained fame with her role in the comedy-horror spoof Scary Movie, playing Brenda Meeks. Regina has frequented the big screen in roles that far from betrayed her age. Born in 1970 in Washington D.C., Hall earned a degree in Journalism from N.Y.U. before embarking on a film career. In 1997, she started to appear in commercial at the age of 26, and made the big step in to movies. Her recurring role in Scary Movie and the sequels Scary Movie 2 and Scary Movie 3 exhibited the 30-years-old?s ability to maintain her youthful appearance, as she portrayed the high-school-aged Brenda Meeks. The fist film role she had came in 1999 with a small role in Malcolm D. Lee?s drama The Best Man. The year after, she made several film appearances, including her starring role in Scary Movie. But she also played small parts in two films directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood, the drama Love & Basketball, and the TV movie appearance Acts, with Sanaa Lathan and Wesley Snipes. In 2001, Hall?s list of credits grew to her first television role, as Coretta Lipp on the prime-time drama Ally McBeal, which she had a recurring role for several episodes. But the same year, Scary Movie 2 was released, in addition to Mandel Holland comedy The Other Brother, feautering Hall as Vicki. One year later, she starred in the action-drama Paid in Full, which was directed by Charles Stone.

Regina Hall left an ever-lasting impression on viewers with her character Candy in Universal?s #1 box office hit The Best Man, directed by Malcolm Lee, starring Taye Diggs, which she later starred in alongisde with Anthony Anderson and Jamie Kennedy Malibu?s Most wanted, but Nia Long and Morris Chestnut played in The Best Man too. The role of Candy signalled a turning point for Hall?s career, as she became a key member of the all star cast she took her place in young black Hollywood.

Born in Washington, DC, Hall considers her home New York City and currently resides in Los Angeles. With her talent Hall will prove to be one of the up and coming actresses if she keeps up what she is doing.

On several occasions, Regina Hall has been linked to a Scary Movie 4, but it is still unknown if she is going to star in it alongside Anna Faris.
