The Red Squirrel, Sciurus vulgaris, is a common Eurasian tree squirrel. It is still frequently found on the European continent and across Asia but has been widely replaced by the Eastern Grey Squirrel in Great Britain. They are tree-dwelling omnivorous rodents.
