It is 46 miles (74 km) SSW, 20 nautical miles (37 km) if traveling by waterway, of the City of New York, New York. Red Bank is bordered by Middletown Township, Rumson Township, and the Boroughs of Fair Haven, Shrewsbury, and Little Silver.
