The banner on its Sunday comics section says "Biggest Comics Section in the Land". Most collectors of comic strips agree. It carries half pages of Prince Valiant by Gary Gianni and Mark Schultz, Hagar the Horrible by Dik Browne and Opus by Berke Breathed. It also carries Tarzan by Gray Morrow and Doonesbury by Garry Trudeau, usually in half tab format, and many other strips. It is one of the few newspapers that still carries Dick Tracy.
