RAW (magazine)
RAW was a groundbreaking comics anthology edited by Art Spiegelman and Françoise Mouly and published from 1980 to 1991. It is considered by many to be the flagship publication of the 1980s alternative comics movement. It is no longer in print, but some material from the original magazines is currently available in reprint collections. The most famous work to come from the pages of RAW is Spiegelman's Pulitzer-winning graphic novel Maus.

The first eight issues of RAW (volume 1), published by Spiegelman and Mouly, were printed in a magazine format, with a stapled binding. The final three issues (volume 2) were printed in a 'digest' or 'paperback' format; these issues were published by Penguin Books and were much more widely distributed than the earlier issues.

RAW was often packaged creatively; some issues came with trading cards. Others were intentionally marked or defaced.
