Ranelagh
Ranelagh (Irish Raghnallach) is a residential area and township on the southside of Dublin city, Ireland. It is in the postal district of Dublin 6. It is one of the city's most expensive areas (second only to Dublin 4, according to an ESRI survey in 2002http://www.moving.ie/home_buyer_guides/permanenttsbpriceindex.htm), boasting fine Georgian and Victorian townhouses.

The district was originally a village just outside Dublin city until it was swallowed up by the expanding city more than a century ago. It still has a village-like atmosphere with many small family-run shops, especially around the triangular intersection ("the Triangle") that marks its centre.

The green Luas line passes through Ranelagh. Famous inhabitants include Ken Doherty who practices in Jason's.
