Randy White (football player)


 

Randy Lee White (born January 15, 1953, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) was an All-American with the University of Maryland in 1974, and was the Dallas Cowboys first round draft pick in 1975. For two years he was a middle linebacker, earning him nothing much, until his third season he becond a starting right defensive tackle. For the rest of his 14 season, 209 game career he was an outstanding player. In 1978 he was named NFC Defensive Player of the Year, and in Super Bowl XII, he was named co-MVP against the Denver Broncos. In 1985 he was an All-Pro selection, and was named to nine straight Pro Bowls in a nine year span. He only missed one game in his 14 seasons with the Cowboys. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1994.
