Quakertown, Pennsylvania
Quakertown is a borough located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, 16 miles (26 km) south of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on the Quakertown and Delaware River. In the age of the horse and buggy, the industrial establishments included cigar and cigar-box factories, silk mills, harness factories, stove foundry, etc. In 1900, the population count was 3,014; in 1910, 3,801 people lived here; and in 1940, Quakertown was the home of 5,150 people. As of the 2000 census, the borough had a total population of 8,931.
