In mathematics, a quadratic equation is a polynomial equation of the second degree. The generalized form is
Vičte's formulas
Vičte's formulas give a simple relation between the roots of a polynomial and its coefficients. In the case of quadratic polynomial, they take the following form:
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
: x_1 + x_2 = rac{-b}{a},
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
: x_1 x_2 = rac{c}{a}.
