Quabbin Reservoir
The Quabbin Reservoir is the largest body of water in the state of Massachusetts, created between 1930 and 1940. It is the primary water supply for Boston. It has an aggregate capacity of 412 billion U.S. gallons (1.56 km³). Water from the Quabbin flows to the Wachusett Reservoir by way of the Quabbin Aqueduct. It is owned by the Department of Conservation and Recreation.
