Pushkin Prize
The Pushkin Prize was established in 1881 by Russian Academy of Sciences to honor one of the greatest Russian poets Aleksandr Pushkin (1799-1837). The prize was awarded to Russian and, after 1917, Soviet authors who achieved the highest standard of literary excellence.
