Prior
Prior is a Latin adjective, meaning 'coming before', as 'earlier' (as in a priori, regardless what comes next).

It is often made in to substantive, also in modern languages such as English, and can refer the to either :
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
- The head of a priory, a type of monastery.
- In probability theory, a prior distribution.
- A Prior from Stargate SG-1.
It can also be a short form, as for "prior conviction" (thus "no priors" means a clean sheet).
